Michael Etchart, DVM
A native of Fruita, Dr. Michael Etchart completed his professional education at Colorado State University. In addition to small animal medicine, he is passionate about orthopedics and dentistry. Dr. Mike has pursued continuing education in orthopedic care to study arthroscopy, TTA surgery, and fracture repairs. He enjoys being a veterinarian because of the opportunities to provide high-quality care for animals and also to meet so many wonderful people from different walks of life. Becoming a veterinarian was a natural transition for him after growing up on a farm with lots of pets and livestock. He enjoys helping animals and working with pet owners to educate them and discuss their pet’s needs.
Dr. Mike Etchart and his wife Dr. Alyson have three young children and two rescue dogs named “Murray” and “Lola.” When he isn’t working, Dr. Etchart enjoys camping, ATVing, fishing, and mountain and road biking.
Paul G. Bingham, DVM
Dr. Paul Bingham earned his degree from Colorado State University. He has an extensive history in small animal and exotic and avian species. In addition, he also does pro bono work on wildlife. He has pursued continuing education in exotic species care and ultrasound to help provide the best possible care to his patients. While there are many interesting and exciting aspects of veterinary care, Dr. Bingham’s favorite parts about being a veterinarian are the challenge and variety of patients he treats. He wanted to work with animals since he was 12 years old, so his career is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
In his personal life, Dr. Bingham is married to Cindy and their children include Cynda, Matthew, Callie, Nick, Sarah, and Kayla. He is also the owner of 5 dogs, 6 cats, 70 sheep, and a horse. In his spare time, he enjoys training his dogs, working on the farm, visiting his children, and participating in outdoor sports.
Alyson Etchart, DVM
Born and raised in Grand Junction, Dr. Alyson Etchart also earned her doctorate from Colorado State University. Dr. Alyson’s love of veterinary medicine stems from the shared people-animal bonds, which she feels with her own animals. In addition to the rewarding aspect of helping animals, she also enjoys the reward of sharing her love of animals with children and educating them about animal care. Dr. Alyson takes pride in growing a staff and hospital that is compassionate, caring, and providing high-quality veterinary medicine. Achieving AAHA accreditation was a dream she fulfilled with honor.
Dr. Alyson Etchart is married to Dr. Mike and together they have two sons and one daughter. Their family also includes two rescue dogs named “Murray” and “Lola.” When she isn’t working, Dr. Alyson enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, reading, and photography.
